Playoff Time

Reading, MA – Jenn Cotton and the Burbank YMCA administration have announced the playoff schedule for the Men’s summer session basketball league, and Origins Unknown has been seeded 2nd overall, finishing the session at 5-2. Due to a mid-season victory, OU holds the tie breaker over the Celtics, who finished with the same record.

The Crusty Muskets, who finished the session 6-1, are seeded #1 overall. They are also ranked #1 in crankiness, crustiness, minor injuries, knee braces, guys named ‘Johnson’, random 40 year old fill-in players, and complaining to referees.

The #1 and #2 seeds receive byes for the first round of the playoffs, and will face the winners of tonight’s match ups.

First round preview:

With Cap’n Rusty back in action after nearly slicing off his hand, Howse Corp will square off against Chili's in the first game tonight. Chili's is a solid squad, with two very large gentlemen in the middle. They have had a dissapointing session, mainly because of missing players on game night. Howse, on the other hand, has played well when they have their full team present. Much of this game will depend on who shows up for each team. Prediction: Howse Corp wins.

The second game features the Celtics facing the Road Runners. The Celtics have shown flashes of dominance, with their big-man Andre anchoring the line-up. The Road Runners have shown flashes of…well… not much. Prediction: Celtics dominate.
